November 2012	Charlotte Learning Academy Application submitted by Founders and Board members to Department of Public Instruction.
June 2013	Successfully defended Charlotte Learning Academy’s mission and beliefs before the Charter School Advisory Council.
September 2013	State Board of Education granted Charlotte Learning Academy preliminary approval to serve North Carolina middle and high school students starting in the fall of 2014.
